Charlie Newton is an 18 year old singer/songwriter from Gorton, Manchester.
She was studying Music at Ashton Sixth Form College and her teacher was music producer Tom Caruana. Tom was impressed with her compositions and gave her a few instrumentals to write to. ‘Lights Out’ was the first track she wrote, and is the first single from her forthcoming EP, produced by Tom Caruana.
Charlie started getting into singing at high school. She was inspired by a group of girls who impressed her with their performance, it was at this point that she knew what she wanted to do. She has been writing her own songs since she was 12 years old. Her musical influences are wide and dream collaborations include Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino.
lyrics
space between us
nights without you
feel like forever
time for something new
lights almost out now
need to get it right now
paint the big picture
life is much bigger
Long nights up high
and i’m still thinking that I might
drink too much
besides it’s fine
i’m just trynna have a good night tonight
I place my cards face down
if we’re putting things on the table
i’ve got some things to say
and it’s your turn to flip the card
Is this a bad dream
going to the extreme
I've tried patiently
to make you see
space between us
nights without you
feel like forever
time for something new
lights almost out now
need to get it right now
paint the big picture
life is much bigger
space between us
nights without you
feel like forever
time for something new
lights almost out now
need to get it right now
paint the big picture
life is much bigger
space between us
nights without you
forever

Bloody hell, the peak compendium of remixes. Both this and enter the magical mystery chambers have been on non-stop on my phone, mini disc and soon to be my cd player and record player. It's a shame Rhyme and Space has not got a vinyl release yet.... JJamo99
This album gets better the more I listen to it. It's mixed soooo well. I'm more of a Hendrix fan than Wu-tang but damn does this mashup just hit. bpalla
